Artistrees
Scientists have declared that trees are the State of the Art in carbon sequestration. Trees are the State of the Art in a variety of ways, through the oxygen they give us and all living beings, their sequestration of carbon, the art of normalising climatic patterns and so much more (read more: https://growingairfoundation.org/facts/).
Trees are also artists in their own right, sculptors twisting and turning roots, branches and trunks into a mosaic of enterprising dynamism. They create still lives comprising bark covered intermittently in moss, compositions of leaves, branches and rainwater, a twist or turn or embrace of branches and more. This is what I was looking for and found when I saw the Art of the State of trees. It dawned on me that if I could show others what I see then a new vision, a new discussion on the importance of the worlds forests would begin to save the worlds forests for now and future generations. The images below convey that sight; the seeing as it were, when looking at the “finer print” of trees. From that vantage point the title of the series blossomed into Artistrees, a combination of two words, namely, artist and trees.
